Job Opportunity: CST/ORT Travel Position

Location: Wilson, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: CST/ORT (Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician)
• Role: Circulating RN in Operating Room
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Shift: 8 or 10 hours, Monday to Friday plus call
• Call Requirements: 1 day per week and every 3rd weekend
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Number of Openings: 2

Facility & Unit Information

• Department: Operating Room
• Number of ORs: 6
• Trauma Level: Not Applicable
• Patient Population: All ages except children under 1 year
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment plus DaVinci Xi Robot
• EHR System: Meditech (experience preferred)

Required Skills & Certifications

• Must Have:

  • Circulating and Operating Room experience
  • First Assist experience required
• Preferred:

  • Scrubbing in on surgical cases
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • OR First Assist Certification
• Licensure:

  • Valid RN license to practice in North Carolina

Common Procedures & Diagnoses

• Orthopedic, General Surgery, Laparoscopy, Urology, GYN, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, DaVinci robotic surgeries, ENT, Pediatric Dentistry
• Typical cases include abdominal surgeries, GYN procedures, laparoscopic surgeries, fractures, total joint replacements, bladder and prostate surgeries, cataracts
