Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support residents in improving functional independence and performance in activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
Provide therapeutic activities focused on ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional mobility
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Document treatments accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes
Ensure patient safety and adherence to rehabilitation protocols

Required Qualifications

Active California COTA license (must be current)
Minimum 1 year of COTA experience
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
Experience with Rehab Optima (NetHealth) documentation system required
Strong communication, time-management, and patient care skills

Additional Details

Bilingual skills not required
EMR system: Rehab Optima (NetHealth)
