All orders will be subject to floating to different facilities. Some weekend requirements (no more than every other weekend) Call is available but NOT MANDATORY. Shifts are primarily days but may require a few nights, will be a mix of 8hr and 12hr shifts.

• General Information:
  • Machines: Philips, Agfa, Siemens and Carestream – 100% Digital Radiography. C-Arm is GE OEC.
  • Years of Experience? 2 years preferred but not required
  • Will Accept a First-time traveler? Yes
  • Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff
• Patient Types/Equipment types:
  • Standard patient makeup – Inpatient, Outpatient and ER (Trauma Level 2)
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ARRT
  • State License from LSRTBE
• Skills required:
  • Experience with the above-mentioned patient types
  • General diagnostic, basic Fluoroscopy and Surgery experience preferred.
• Charting System/Equipment:
  • EMR: Meditech
• Floating:
  • Units: between sites (15 minutes driving time)
  • Do Travelers float first?  No, rotational
• Orientation:
  • 1 day hospital and 1-2 weeks on unit
• Scheduling:
  • Weekend rotation: yes, as part of a 2-week rotation.  Every other weekend with 12hr rotation.
  • Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week (this is mandatory)

  • Our 12hr. day shifts work with 2 or 3 other 12hr. techs. and numerous 8hr techs.  Here is an example of a 2-week rotation.

     

• Can we approve time off? Yes, up to 7 days
  • DECLINE if more than 7 days of RTO-do not send for manager approval
  • Must extend for any full week of RTO
  • May only request (1) weekend RTO per 13-week contract
• Call required: 3-4 days/month – 12 hr shifts
• Holiday Expectations: must work 2/3 major holidays
