Description
RN - Float Pool (Contract):
Location: Bridgeport, CT
Role Overview:
We are looking for a versatile and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Float Pool. This is a dynamic role requiring the ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments. The selected candidate will provide high-quality patient care across Medical, Surgical, Cardiology (Tele), and Behavioral Health units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adaptable Care: Float seamlessly between various acute care units, maintaining high standards of nursing practice in Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Psych settings.
- Clinical Monitoring: Manage telemetry-monitored patients, identifying cardiac rhythms and responding to clinical changes.
- Behavioral Health Support: Provide compassionate care and crisis intervention for patients within the Behavioral Health unit.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize EPIC for all charting, medication administration, and patient care documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a reliable resource for permanent staff, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care during shift changes.
Position Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
- Licensure: Valid Connecticut (CT) RN license or a multi-state Compact license.
- Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Electronic Medical Records: Hands-on familiarity with EPIC is required.
- Skillset Focus: Primary focus on RN-TELE with the flexibility to serve as an alternate for RN-Psych.
Schedule & Shift Information
- Shift: Day Shift (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)
- Weekly Commitment: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
- Meal Duration: 30 minutes
- On-Call: None required
