Description

Essential Functions: The following job specific requirements should discuss the essential duties and responsibilities required of the position. 1. Confirms physician order, assesses for appropriateness and ensures quality patient care. Notifies physician, nurse and/or other hospital staff of any unusual reaction observed in patients during performance of duties. Assesses, evaluates, documents in medical record and monitors patient for tolerance and response to therapy and treatment. 2. Explains treatment procedures to patient and addresses any concerns or questions. Maintains safe environment for patients, visitors and hospital staff. Promotes customer satisfaction through positive behaviors when interacting with patients, visitors and co-workers. 3. Performs respiratory/pulmonary procedures per department policy or protocol. Responds to emergencies and participates in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Sets up and maintains all equipment, administers medical gases, medications assists with stocking of supplies and drugs. Completes appropriate billing information for completed services.
