- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
UNIT: NICU
Active SD/Compact license.
Certs Required: BLS, NRP. (STABLE preferred)
Experience Required: 1.5 years. Will accept first time traveler if they have over 2+ years. Vent management, IV Starts, chest tubes, IV med titration, Neonatal Resuscitation is preferred (CN will attend deliveries)
Floating: PICU, Pediatrics, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, Adult (Constant Observation Only) - (overflow on peds unit)
Patient Types:
Neonates – all gestational ages
Level 3 NICU
Diagnoses include, but not limited to: Low Birth weight, High frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, total body cooling, feeders/growers
No ECMO, No cardiac surgery at this time.
Patient Ratios: 1:1-1:4
