Description
Radiation Therapist – Travel Assignment
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Pay: $3,381/week
Shift: Day Shift, 5x8 (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description:
The Radiation Therapist will deliver daily radiation therapy treatments in an adult acute care oncology setting. The role includes treatment setup, dose delivery, patient positioning, and ensuring radiation safety standards are followed.
- Daily caseload: Approximately 25 patients per therapist
- Perform external beam radiation therapy and IMRT treatments
- Utilize treatment planning systems including Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian)
- Conduct CBCT, kV/mV imaging, tumor localization, and beam modification
- Fabricate and use custom molds, shields, wedges, and compensation filters
- Calculate radiation doses and assist with treatment planning as needed
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety, isolation precautions, and age-specific care
- Work collaboratively with physicians, dosimetrists, and nursing staff
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
- Active California State License (required)
- ARRT (T) – Radiation Therapy certification
- BLS certification
- Experience with Varian 21 EX/iX equipment (required)
- ARIA skillset required; Epic preferred
- Adult acute care experience required
