Director of Behavioral Health Services (BHS)
Direct Hire | Hospital-Based | Leadership
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Available
Setting: Acute Care / Hospital Behavioral Health
Why This Role
Lead and grow a hospital-based Behavioral Health Services department with full responsibility for strategy, operations, compliance, staffing, and program expansion. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced RN Behavioral Health leader ready to drive growth, quality, and regulatory excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Direct Behavioral Health Services operations and long-term strategic growth
- Ensure regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and quality outcomes
- Manage staffing, budgets, productivity, and resource utilization
- Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Build strong partnerships with physicians, community agencies, and leadership
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, coaching, and retention of behavioral health staff
What We’re Looking For
- Active RN license required
- BSN required | MSN Psychiatric Nursing preferred
- Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing leadership experience
- BLS required | CPI required
- Hospital or acute care behavioral health experience strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- $110K–$150K base salary
