Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Acute Medicine Unit)

Facility: Northside Hospital Gwinnett
Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Unit: 6250V – Acute Medicine Unit

Contract Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 02/02/2026
Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Overtime:
- Daily OT after 24 hours
- Weekly OT after 40 hours
On Call: None
Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles
Pricing Negotiations: Permitted

Position Overview

Northside Hospital Gwinnett is seeking experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses to support a temporary pop-up 20-bed Acute Medicine unit created to manage increased seasonal patient volume. The unit will care for general medical/surgical patients with varying acuity levels.

Unit Details

Unit Type: General Medical/Surgical – Acute Medicine
Beds: 20-bed pop-up unit
Patient Population: Adult medical patients
Charting System: Epic / Cerner

Requirements

Active RN License (Georgia or compact)
Minimum Experience: Med/Surg experience required
Certifications Required:
- AHA BLS
- NIHSS (AHA or Apex Innovations)
EMR Experience: Epic and/or Cerner required

Schedule

Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
36 hours per week guaranteed

Additional Notes

No on-call requirements
Travelers must be able to start ASAP
No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
