Program Director – Surgical Technology Program
Location: Richmond, PA
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and student-focused Program Director to lead our Surgical Technology Program. This contract-to-hire position is responsible for the overall management, accreditation compliance, and instructional quality of the program, ensuring students receive high-quality training aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership and administrative oversight for the Surgical Technology Program
- Ensure full compliance with CAAHEP, ARC/STSA, and institutional accreditation standards
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate program faculty
- Oversee curriculum maintenance, development, and continuous program improvement
- Manage lab instruction, clinical partnerships, and externship placements
- Prepare and maintain program reports, assessment plans, and accreditation documentation
- Support student retention, progression, and academic success
- Represent the program during accreditation visits, audits, and campus meetings
- Collaborate with campus leadership on scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
- Maintain a positive, professional, student-centered learning environment
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (discipline does not matter)
- Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or a related allied health field
- Current CST certification (NBSTSA)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical technology or surgical technology education
- Working knowledge of CAAHEP/ARC-STSA accreditation standards
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to lead faculty and support diverse student needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, or Lead Instructor
- Experience preparing accreditation documentation or coordinating site visits
- Teaching experience within a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program
- Established connections with healthcare providers or clinical partners
