Contract Details Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week Guaranteed hours do not apply during holidays if the unit is closed Billing Cycle: Sunday – Saturday Shift & Scheduling Shift: Variable 12-hour Day shifts Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend & holiday rotation On-Call: None Float: None Ability to cross-train to Medical unit if desired/able Radius Rule Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius of Bellin Health Unit Overview Department: Emergency Department / Urgent Care Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital Beds: 7 Staffing: 2 RNs and 1 physician on at all times Patient Types: Mostly urgent care cases with occasional trauma Patient Ratio: Low-volume, community-based ER The ER provides 24/7 emergency and urgent care services and serves as a critical access point for the community. Nurses are responsible for delivering high-quality professional nursing care in compliance with: Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act ANA Nursing Scope & Standards of Practice ANA Code of Ethics Bellin Health policies and procedures Community involvement and interdisciplinary collaboration are strongly encouraged. Requirements License: Active RN license or Compact license Certifications (required at submission): AHA BLS AHA ACLS AHA PALS NIHSS: Preferred at submission Required prior to completion of orientation Certification provided by Bellin (Apex Innovations) at no cost Experience: Minimum 1+ year Prior experience in a Critical Access Facility or Level III/IV facility preferred Charting: Epic experience required within the last 2 years Candidate Profile Strong work ethic Excellent time management Resilient and adaptable to change Social and team-oriented Dress Code No bright colors or character prints Compliance Requirement Candidate must begin the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of offer acceptance Quick start: within 24 hours
