Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Department

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico


Position Details

  • Specialty: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed
  • Weekend Requirement: Two weekends per 4-week schedule
  • Call Requirements: None

Unit Information

  • Department: Emergency Department (1st Floor)
  • Trauma Level: IV
  • Number of Beds: 20
  • Patient Population: Neonates, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
  • Patient Ratios:
    • ESI 1, 2, & Horizontal 3s – 4:1
    • ESI Vertical 3s, 4, & 5 – 7:1
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR): MedHost

Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department nursing
  • Required Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing minimum
  • Must Have Skills: Emergency Department experience
  • Preferred Skills: Critical Care experience
  • Personality Fit: Positive attitude, flexible, willing to teach

Additional Notes

  • No float or call requirements
  • Dress code allows any scrub color; t-shirts or clothing with other facility logos are not acceptable
  • High acuity emergency department environment
