Position Details

Job Summary

The Staff Pharmacist provides patient-centered pharmaceutical care in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independent decision-making, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient medication therapy for appropriateness and safety
• Perform clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events
• Apply age-specific dosing and therapeutic modifications
• Participate in clinical research and professional development initiatives
• Maintain and oversee medication inventory and storage
• Develop, review, and update pharmacy, nursing, and departmental policies
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel as needed

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – REQUIRED
• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 5 years of extensive acute care clinical experience
• Retail pharmacy experience – REQUIRED
• Active AHA BLS Certification
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Ability to supervise support staff
• Must have own vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

• PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (ASHP-accredited) in Oncology – strongly preferred
• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) – strongly preferred
• Specialty pharmacy medication management experience

• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will NOT be considered
• Permanent address must be included at submission

  • Must be disclosed at time of submission
  • Maximum 5 days allowed
  • RTO requests after submission will NOT be approved
• Interview Availability:
  • At least two specific interview date/time options must be included
  • “Anytime” availability will NOT be accepted
