CVOR Surgical Technologist – Travel Assignment

Overview

A high‑acuity surgical department in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced CVOR Tech for a 13‑week travel assignment. This role supports complex cardiac and vascular procedures and requires strong scrub skills, aseptic technique, and the ability to float to general surgery when needed. Scrubs are provided.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: February 16, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Options:
  • Day: 06:30–19:00
  • Evening: 11:00–23:30
  • Majority of shifts are days; up to two weeks per six‑week schedule may be evening shifts
• On‑Call Requirements:
  • 6 call shifts per 6‑week schedule
  • 1 weekend shift and/or 1 holiday per 6‑week schedule
• Float Requirement:
  • If no cardiac cases, must float to general surgery
• Local Radius Rule:
  • Local rate applies within 60 miles of the facility

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• Must be proficient in:
  • Aseptic technique
  • Case cart management
  • Scrubbing
  • Cardiac and vascular surgical cases
• Preferred Experience:
  • Crash cart
  • XI Robotics
  • Surgical experience in:
    • General
    • Ortho / Ortho‑spine / Ortho‑joints
    • Urology
    • Endoscopy
    • Thoracic
    • Neuro / Neuro‑spine
    • Gynecology
    • Bariatrics
    • Ophthalmology
    • Plastics
    • Podiatry
    • ENT
    • Transplant

Certifications

• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Preferred
