Description
RN - Cardiac PCU - 7p-730a
General job duties/Types of procedures required:
-Drip titration for those experienced with it, if not, will float to Medsurg/tele units
-Equipment: EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillator, Philips Bedside Monitors
-Required skills/minimum years experience: 2 years of PCU or Med/Tele background
-Specific licensure/certifications required: ACLS, BLS, IN or compact RN license
- Position Requirements:
- 1+ year of Stepdown or Med/Tele experience required
- BLS thru AHA required.
- ACLS required.
- Indiana RN or compact license required.
- Previous cardiac experience preferred.
-Shift/schedule requirements: The employee would never work alone. Three weekend shifts out of a 4-week schedule.
-Floating: Floating is required, to like units when needed. PCU will float down to MedSurg when needed.
-Bed size for unit/dept: 12 beds
-Nurse to patient ratio of unit: 3-4:1 on Prog and 4-5:1 on Medsurg
-Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs
-Unit/department specific training/orientation: Travelers will have to attend the Jumpstart program and EPIC training and then they will get 1-2 days on the unit
