Department: Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) | RN Shift: 03:00 – 15:00, every weekend position Housing Requirement: Please confirm the candidate has researched housing options in the area at time of submission (leads available). Unit Details Number of Beds: 25 Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Average 1:4 Patient Population: Adult post-surgical (Orthopedics) General medicine: cardiac, pulmonary, renal, GI, and urology Experience & Skills Experience Required: Minimum 1 year First-Time Travelers: Accepted Drip Management: Occasional titration required Common drips include: heparin, insulin, IV fluids, electrolytes, diltiazem, antibiotics, occasional dopamine, and TPN Staffing & Support Telemetry: Mindray monitors; no monitor techs Nurse Aides: Yes Days: 2 aides PMs: 1.5 aides Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: House Supervisor always available; not required to take an assignment Respiratory Therapy: Not in-house; available as needed Scheduling & Requirements Shift Length: 12 hours (unless otherwise specified) Start Times: 03:00 or 15:00 Self-Scheduling: Not allowed Block Scheduling: Possible if requested Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Yes Call/Standby: None Floating: Not required Certifications Required: BLS Preferred: ACLS Dress Code Scrubs: Charcoal / pewter gray (any style) Orientation Unit- and department-specific orientation, based on individual experience.
