Med-Surg Ortho, Med-surg Adult, Med-surg Peds 3 years exp

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience
Med/Surg experience required
Experience with Meditech preferred
Current Vermont RN license or compact/multi-state RN license
BLS (AHA) and ACLS required prior to start
Ability to care for both adult and occasional pediatric patients

Shift Information:

Day shift 7am - 7pm! Three 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week includes every other weekend.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our general Med/Surg unit, providing high-quality care to primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients. This is not a pediatric unit.

The RN will coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care using the Nursing Process, supporting patients across medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and limited pediatric needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care
Coordinate patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Meet patients’ physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs
Utilize critical thinking to make timely clinical decisions
Work under the direction of the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and/or Nursing Supervisor
