Job Summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced PCU / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 34-bed cardiac PCU/Telemetry stroke overflow unit. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac skills, including management of cardiac drips, and be comfortable floating as needed. This position is night shift only with no block scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU and telemetry patients, including cardiac and stroke overflow cases
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage/titrate cardiac drips
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as required
• Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Follow all Summa Health clinical protocols and safety standards
• Maintain required unit dress code (solid black scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Education: Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE required)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of RN experience in PCU and/or Telemetry
• Certifications:
  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (required)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required)
• Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be shown on resume)
• Must be comfortable running cardiac drips
• Must be willing to float

Licensure

• Active RN license (verification through Nursys)

Scheduling & RTO Requirements

• Night shifts only (no rotating shifts)
• RTO must be submitted at time of submission
• Maximum 7 days of RTO allowed (candidates exceeding this will be rejected)
• No block scheduling accepted
