Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience: 1 year
Recent Experience: Required within the past year
Travel Experience: Preferred but not required

Licensure & Certifications

License: Active New York State RN License
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Required Skills & Competencies

Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Care

MS/Tele nursing experience
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Use of Rapid Response and Code Teams

IV & Vascular Access

IV therapy and phlebotomy
Peripheral IV line care and management

Respiratory Care

Nasal cannula use
Oxygen administration
Oxygen tank management
Non-invasive airway management

Professional Practice

Isolation precautions
Adherence to hospital policies and patient safety standards
