Description

Behavioral Health – Registered Nurse (Mids)
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Contract Length: 24 weeks
Start Date: 2/1
Schedule: 5×8s | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Hours: 40/week
Weekends: Every other weekend required

Position Overview:
Behavioral Health RN needed to provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Nurses may float between units as needed and are oriented to multiple assignments prior to placement based on facility needs.

Key Details:

Patient ratios typically 9–10; lower for higher-acuity patients
Infirmary staffed with multiple RNs and a charge nurse
4-week orientation (2 weeks classroom + 2 weeks on-the-job)

Requirements:

Active Texas RN license (or compact license)
Current CPR certification
COVID vaccine required
Two professional references from different employers
Ability to safely perform CPR, medication calculations, emergency procedures, and safe use of restraints
Behavioral health or developmental disability experience preferred
