Description
CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist Opportunities – Terre Haute, Indiana
Full-time permanent positions | Day shift (10-hour options available)
We’re hiring full-time CVOR Certified Surgical Technologists (CST II) to join a high-acuity Cardiovascular Operating Room team in Terre Haute, IN. These are permanent, benefits-eligible roles supporting complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures within a collaborative acute-care environment.
CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST II)
Provide skilled surgical support in a Cardio OR setting, including:
• Scrub independently for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field and CVOR-specific equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently during procedures
• Assist with room setup, instrument sterilization, and turnover
• Maintain aseptic technique and strict infection control standards
• Handle specimens and support accurate documentation
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia, and perfusion teams
$25.67 – $38.50 per hour + $10/hr position differential for CST II
Annual Range (40 hrs/week): $53,394 – $100,880
Guaranteed 40 hours/week
Day shift with 10-hour shift options
On-call rotation (10–15 calls per schedule; rotates to general OR when CVOR volume allows)
Acute care | Cardiovascular Operating Room
Charting: Cerner
Required:
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Active CST certification (NBSTSA)
• BLS (AHA)
• 2+ years of CVOR or cardiac surgical experience
• Ability to scrub cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases independently
Preferred:
• Prior experience with CVOR-specific equipment and open-heart procedures
• Strong cardiac instrumentation knowledge
