Occupational Therapist (OT) – Skilled Nursing Facility | Contract

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in a Skilled Nursing/Long-Term Care setting. This 13-week contract opportunity is ideal for an OT who is passionate about helping residents regain independence and improve quality of life in a supportive, resident-centered environment.

Position Details:

  • Job Type: Contract
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Position Urgency: Normal
  • Schedule: Day shift, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Specialty:

  • Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based OT interventions to support functional independence
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and therapeutic strategies
  • Support residents in achieving optimal functional outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • Active California Occupational Therapist license
  • Minimum of 1 year of OT experience (skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred)
  • Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Additional Information:

  • Holiday coverage may be required
