Cardiac Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide expert direct care within our Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology departments. In this role, you will act as the primary clinical coordinator, managing high-acuity patients through complex procedural workflows while ensuring seamless interdisciplinary communication.

Key Responsibilities

Procedural Nursing: Provide direct patient care during cardiac and IR interventions in accordance with 2026 healthcare protocols.
Care Coordination: Serve as the lead coordinator across medical disciplines to implement, monitor, and adjust comprehensive patient care plans.
Clinical Monitoring: Assess, record, and communicate real-time patient condition updates; execute physician and nursing orders with precision.
Discharge Planning: Evaluate and coordinate patient discharge requirements in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule & Call Requirements

On-Call Commitment: Minimum of 16 on-call shifts per 6-week period.
Weekend Rotation: Mandatory on-call coverage for every third weekend.

Qualifications

Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
Experience: 1–2 years of cumulative clinical experience is required.
- Mandatory: Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- Preferred: Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.
Certification: Current BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
