Description

Job Title: Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU/Telemetry Float)

 

Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Registered Nurse to support our high-acuity patient populations. This role requires a clinician capable of floating between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Telemetry departments. You will manage complex patient cases, utilizing advanced hemodynamic monitoring and the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Excellence: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, planning, and interventions for critically ill and telemetry-monitored patients.
  • Critical Communication: Directly communicate with physicians regarding changes in clinical status, abnormal diagnostic results, and hemodynamic instability.
  • Rapid Response: Demonstrate the ability to respond quickly and accurately to deteriorating patient conditions or adverse responses to treatment.
  • Leadership & Advocacy: Direct and guide patient/family education and oversee auxiliary nursing personnel while maintaining rigorous ICU standards of care.
  • Ethical Practice: Uphold strict patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with 2026 healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Active and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, specifically within a Critical Care environment.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: Current BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association).
    • Preferred: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
  • Health & Safety: COVID-19 vaccination and boosters are preferred.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing and able to float between the ICU and Telemetry units based on facility census.
