Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor, and recover patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and promptly recognize and respond to cardiac changes
- Administer medications, moderate sedation (if trained), and IV therapies per protocol
- Assist physicians during procedures and ensure accurate documentation
- Provide patient and family education related to cardiac procedures and recovery
- Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and infection control standards
- Participate in quality improvement and teamwork initiatives
Qualifications
Education
- ADN required; BSN preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN License (State or Compact)
- BLS required
- ACLS required
Experience
- Cardiac Cath Lab, Telemetry, or Critical Care experience preferred
Skills
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
