Requirements

• Current Vermont RN license or compact multi-state RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience
• TNCC preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR or ability to learn quickly

Position Overview

As an ED RN at NVRH, you will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and adapt nursing care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Our Emergency Department is busy and dynamic, requiring RNs who learn quickly, think critically, and contribute proactively to the team.

• 9-bed rural Emergency Department
• Over 15,000 patient visits annually
• Currently undergoing ED expansion
• 24/7 physician-staffed emergency services

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care
• Perform patient assessments and ongoing evaluations
• Collaborate with physicians and specialty services as needed
• Coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care
• Adapt quickly in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
