Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Contract

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a skilled nursing facility team on a contract basis. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve functional independence, mobility, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions in accordance with established care plans
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, techniques, and adaptive strategies
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and professional standards
Qualifications
- Active California COTA license (required)
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- New graduates welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
