Description

• CST: 5 years preferred, but will take 3 years
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
• Case Types:
  • Adults mainly, occasionally Peds for Dental or ENT cases
  • Heavy Ortho – Total joints (knees and hips, shoulders), fractures, wrists, ankles, rods, ACL repairs, fingers, carpal tunnel, podiatry
  • Heavy Spinal – Laminectomies (Cervical and Lumbar), Fusions (Lumbar and Anterior Cervical)
  • General surgeries (open and laparoscopic) – bowel, gallbladder, appendix, hernias, portacath placement, fistulas
  • Robotics – general, gyn and urology
  • Urology – laser lithotripsy, stent insertion/removal, TURPs, artificial urinary stents, cystocele, rectocele
  • ENT – T&As, endoscopic sinus, facial lesions, thyroids, neck dissection
  • OBGYN – tubal ligations, oophorectomy, hysterectomies, D&Cs, hysteroscopies
  • Plastics/Breast – mastectomy, lumpectomy, reconstruction, enhancement
• Cases performed per day (average):
  • Average about 25 cases per day
• Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • Scrub Tech: BLS, CST – must be nationally certified
• Skills required:
  • Scrub Tech:
    • Must be strong in Ortho
    • Must be strong in Spine
    • Robotics is more preferred – this is something they can be oriented

  • EMR: Cerner
  • Hana table
  • Fracture table
  • MTS table
  • Davinci XI
