Overview

A respected hospital in Bloomington, IL is seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery RN for a 13‑week night‑shift assignment. This role is ideal for a confident clinician skilled in supporting patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license in hand (required for submission)
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Permanent residence must be 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for the full travel rate
Strong fetal monitoring, triage, and patient‑education skills

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including assessment, monitoring, and support throughout labor and delivery
Assist with vaginal deliveries and support providers during emergent situations
Manage postpartum recovery and newborn stabilization as needed
Collaborate closely with OB providers, anesthesia, NICU, and support staff
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all unit and hospital protocols
Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care during all stages of the birthing process
