Assignment Overview

Location: Hughes Spalding
Coverage: Inpatient hospital and 5+ outpatient clinics operating Monday–Friday
Schedule:
- 40 hours/week
- 4–5 days per week, 8–10 hours per day
- Flexible start time: 7:30–8:30 AM
- 30-minute lunch break
On-Call: None
Weekends: None

Required Experience

Previous pediatric nutrition experience (required)
Experience working with all pediatric age groups (infants through adolescents)
Inpatient pediatric experience required
TPN writing experience required, including:
- Macronutrients
- Volume
- Electrolytes
Strong foundation in nutrition support

Required Skills & Competencies

Diagnosis of pediatric malnutrition
Nutrition education for patients and families
Writing enteral nutrition orders
Experience with specialty formulas and human milk
Conducting ADIME assessments
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Coordinating discharge needs (WIC, education, teaching, etc.)
Strong multitasking, efficiency, and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with patients and hospital staff
Ability to learn quickly and work independently

Systems & Tools

Epic experience strongly preferred

Licensure & Certification Requirements

Registered Dietitian (RD) – Required
Licensed Dietitian in the state of Georgia – Required
