Position Overview

IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking experienced Interventional Radiology Technologists for a 13-week travel assignment. This is a Level I Trauma facility with a high-acuity IR and Neuro IR service line. First-time travelers are welcome.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in both peripheral vascular IR and neurovascular IR, with the ability to scrub and circulate cases.

Department & Unit Details

• 4 IR Suites:
  • 2 single-plane
  • 2 biplane Siemens C-arms
• Staffing Model: Two IR techs per room (1 scrub, 1 circulate)
• Case Mix Includes:
  • Level I Trauma, PE, and Stroke cases
  • Angiograms, angioplasty, embolizations
  • Nephrostomy, nephrograms
  • IVC filter placement
  • PE & intracranial thrombectomy
  • Stent placements, central line insertions
• Technologists must scrub both peripheral and neuro cases

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Shift: Day shift, 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Call: Required every 3rd or 4th weekend
  • Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Floating: Required (within hospital or affiliated IU Health facilities)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Ability to scrub peripheral and neuro IR cases (Required)
• Certifications:
  • ARRT (R) required
  • ARRT (VI) preferred
  • BLS
• Active Indiana license (must be in hand prior to start)

Required Skill Set

• Angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placement
• Peripheral vascular and neurovascular procedures
• Nephrograms and nephrostomy
• Drain placements and exchanges
• Upper & lower extremity vascular procedures
• Venous access (ports, PICCs, central lines)
• Embolization procedures
• Contrast administration
• PACS experience preferred
