Description
Position Overview
IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking experienced Interventional Radiology Technologists for a 13-week travel assignment. This is a Level I Trauma facility with a high-acuity IR and Neuro IR service line. First-time travelers are welcome.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in both peripheral vascular IR and neurovascular IR, with the ability to scrub and circulate cases.
Department & Unit Details
- 4 IR Suites:
- 2 single-plane
- 2 biplane Siemens C-arms
- Staffing Model: Two IR techs per room (1 scrub, 1 circulate)
- Case Mix Includes:
- Level I Trauma, PE, and Stroke cases
- Angiograms, angioplasty, embolizations
- Nephrostomy, nephrograms
- IVC filter placement
- PE & intracranial thrombectomy
- Stent placements, central line insertions
- Technologists must scrub both peripheral and neuro cases
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Call: Required every 3rd or 4th weekend
- Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
- Floating: Required (within hospital or affiliated IU Health facilities)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Ability to scrub peripheral and neuro IR cases (Required)
- Certifications:
- ARRT (R) required
- ARRT (VI) preferred
- BLS
- Active Indiana license (must be in hand prior to start)
Required Skill Set
- Angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placement
- Peripheral vascular and neurovascular procedures
- Nephrograms and nephrostomy
- Drain placements and exchanges
- Upper & lower extremity vascular procedures
- Venous access (ports, PICCs, central lines)
- Embolization procedures
- Contrast administration
- PACS experience preferred
