Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care while supporting physicians and the interdisciplinary team during cardiac and vascular procedures. This RN is responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation aligned with professional nursing standards and unit workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and assist physicians with direct patient care throughout the procedural continuum.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Prioritize patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care.
• Document care accurately based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice and support adoption of clinical innovations and best practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum cardiac and vascular procedure experience required
• Cath Lab (CCL) experience required
• Neuro procedure experience preferred
• Critical care experience highly preferred

Education

• ASN required
• BSN preferred

Licensure

• Active NJ RN license or multi-state compact RN license

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required
• Telemetry required

Charting/Systems (Preferred)

• Epic preferred
• Sensis preferred
