<h3><strong>Job Summary</strong></h3><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>First Assist</strong> to support surgeons during operative procedures at Barberton Campus. The role involves direct intraoperative assistance, patient safety responsibilities, and close collaboration with the perioperative team under RN supervision.</p><p> </p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Assist surgeons during procedures including exposure, hemostasis, suturing, tissue manipulation, wound closure, and dressing application</li><li>Maintain patient safety and care throughout surgical procedures</li><li>Facilitate communication between surgeons, perioperative staff, and hospital departments</li><li>Collaborate effectively with OR staff, physicians, and patient families</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies</li></ul><h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>Completion of an <strong>accredited First Assisting program</strong></li><li><strong>Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)</strong> required</li><li>Completion of required clinical experience during education</li><li><strong>BLS (Basic Life Support)</strong> certification</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a surgical team</li></ul>
