ob Description Position / Specialty: Stepdown/PCU RN Shift: 3x12 Nights , able to accommodate 4x12s if candidate prefers. Ratios/Daily Caseload: Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 year experience required. First-timers accepted: No. Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend Certs REQ: BLS and NIH required. ACLS preferred. Is on-call REQ? No. Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed. Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss with manager. Locals accepted: Yes- no radius. Pending License accepted: No- must have active IL license to apply. RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days. Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift. Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Cardiovascular Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band. Required Gastrointestinal Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management. Required Genitourinary/Renal Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Experience: Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury. Required Orthopedics Case Experience: Ortho Trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements. Required Plastic Surgery Case Experience: Skin grafts, Surgical drains. Required Respiratory Skills/Experience: Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Cerner experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience preferred. Level I Trauma Experience preferred. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma (if applicable): Acute Care Hospital - Level I trauma center. Magnet hospital/facility. Total Staffed Beds: 562 beds Scrub Color: Any solid color. Charting: Cerner Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation
