Job Title: Physical Therapist – Acute / Inpatient Rehabilitation

Position Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist with primary Acute Inpatient experience to provide high-quality rehabilitative care for adult patients. This role focuses primarily on acute rehabilitation, with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab settings.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and re-evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by attending physicians and consulting specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients
  • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Deliver consulting physical therapy services as needed
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Be available to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs

Required Experience

  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with adults in at least one of the following settings:
    • Acute Care
    • Rehabilitation Hospital
    • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Hawaii Physical Therapist License
    • Candidates without an active license must apply upon offer acceptance and must have the license by assignment start
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Schedule

  • Variable schedules, including:
    • Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Sunday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional Requirements

  • Holiday coverage required
  • Must be able to arrive prior to assignment start for pre-employment health clearance appointments
