****MUST HAVE LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXPERIENCE and 3'S and 4's in all areas!!!! Department: OR RN *Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS* Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract - # of Suites: 12 - Common Cases: All diagnoses and all ages- pediatrics in emergency situations, Outpatient, Inpatient of all acuities including Level I trauma General: bowel, chole, appy, gastrectomy, hernia, lap general surgeries, organ procurements, spleen, thyroid, trachs, I&Ds Laparoscopic: chole, appy, hyster, hernia, colon, PEG GYN: c-section, hyster (abd/vag), laser, salpingo-oophrectomy, tubals GU/Cysto: circumcision, cystoscopy, hypospadias, lithotripsy, nephrectomy, orchiectomy penile implant, prostate, turp/turb Ortho: scopes, ex fix, closed reduction, total knees/hips, ORIF shoulder, clavicle, humerus, radius/ulna, fingers/hand, acetabulum, pelvis, femur, tib fib, ankle, foot Neuro: acdf, burr holes, crani, tumor resection, lami, shunts, EVD Plastics: trauma plastics (mandible/maxilla, orbits), facial fractures, skin graft, flaps Eye: enucleation, vitrectomy, globe rupture (mostly traumatic eye injuries) ENT: ethmoidectomy, sinus, laryngectomy, tonsil/adenoid, myringotomy, mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy, nasal polypectomy, laryngoscopy Thoracic: hiatal hernia, lobectomy, thoracotomy, lung wedge resection Endoscopy: bronch, EGD, colonoscopy Will see pediatrics in emergency situations Davinci Robot x3, stealth, o-arm, holmium lasers - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Experience in all service lines is required - Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift?: Yes - OR techs?: Yes - EMR: EPIC - Shifts & Scheduling: 8 and 12 hours shifts, 0630-1500, 0630-1900, 1830-0700, Self-scheduling, cyclic schedule, and department need - Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1- 4 hour call after a shift every week - Weekend/Call Requirements: Weekend call from Fri evening to Sun evening about every 5 weeks. We have 2 cll teams, every 12 hours the teams alternate between first call and second call - Holiday/Call Requirements: Rotation between in house and 2 call teams - Floating Requirements: No floating outside of OR - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Green scrubs provided by the hospital - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Entered on: 11/29/2023
