Job Description

• Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, including group, individual, and family therapies.
• Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Communicate proactively with clients, families, referral sources, and interdisciplinary team members, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
• Participate actively in treatment planning, working with patients to achieve goals and revising plans as needed.
• Collaborate consistently with physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff.
• Work with utilization review to manage length of stay and treatment plans.
• Develop thorough discharge plans to ensure continuity of care for patients and families.

• Shift: Days (7 AM - 7 PM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: No call
• Required Certifications: BLS, Handle With Care (HWC) (Note: CPI certification no longer accepted)
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years in psychiatric nursing
• Patient Population: Adult
• Unit Type: Acute care, Trauma level
• Number of Beds: 72
• EHR System: Pinpoint
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
