Description

Position: Nuclear Medicine Techn

Location: Dallas, TX

Shift & Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours guaranteed)
Weekend: Schedule determined by facility
On-call: Schedule determined by facility

Required Certifications & Licenses:

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) with Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT certification within 6 months of hire
BLS (AHA)
Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) or Texas Medical Board

Experience & Submission Requirements:

Minimum 24 months of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Must disclose any previous Parkland employment history
Active permanent or temporary MRT certification from Texas Medical Board

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Thorough working knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, including related chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biomedical sciences
Ability to administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start IV lines
Operate Gamma cameras, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners, nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment
Basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments
Basic knowledge of EKG to perform cardiac studies
