Description
Day shift Tuesday - Friday, 10 hours per day, Also, requires on-call.
MUST HAVE/OBTAIN FLU VACCINATION
MUST HAVE CERTIFICATIONS AT TIME OF SUBMISSION
Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a technologist training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education
Surgical Technologist Certification (CST)
Current BLS certification
Experience Required
1 year experience preferred.
Knowledge of
Anatomy and physiology with appropriate instrumentation, suturing materials, needles, prosthetic devices and other supplies
Wound healing and complications
Normal growth, development and life cycle changes, including physical, behavioral characteristics of individuals for which nursing care is provided.
Skills in
Sterile technique and processing
Patient positioning
Ability to
Handle requests that are made during the surgery.
