Travel Paramedic – Ontonagon, MI  

Gross Pay: $1,740/week  

Start Date: 2/2  

Contract Length: 13 weeks  

Shift: Variable (flexibility required)

Position Overview  

A rural, traveler‑friendly EMS department in Ontonagon, MI is seeking a skilled Travel Paramedic to support emergency response operations across the community. This assignment offers steady weekly pay, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to work in a scenic Upper Peninsula location known for outdoor recreation and tight‑knit teamwork. Ideal for a Paramedic who is confident in field decision‑making and adaptable to varying shift needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Paramedic experience
• Active Michigan Paramedic License or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS
• CEVO or EVOC certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills

• Ability to work variable shifts as needed by the department

   

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality pre‑hospital emergency medical care
• Respond to 911 calls and perform patient assessment, stabilization, and transport
• Operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with CEVO/EVOC standards
• Administer medications, perform advanced airway management, and follow local protocols
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospital staff, and EMS leadership

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment readiness
