Basic Life Support

Description

Types of procedures required. Med Surg and OB Nursing
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)Sanford One Charge, Pixis,
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
- Able to function independently in the ER and function in MS unit with up to 5 patients.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone Is call required If so, how often Are weekends required) 36 hours per week - 12 hour shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday.
- 3 Call Shifts Required in a 13 week contract
6. Floating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments)Will float between OB and Med Surg
7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.258.
- Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)For Med/Surg - typically 3 to 4 to one - depending on census and acuity9.
Dress Code:Sanford Dress Code. Navy Scrubs, no logos, white can be worn under uniform or white lab coat
10. Training:EPIC Computer training, 1 day of OB training, and 1 day of Med Surg Training
