Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Stepdown RN for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate is skilled in managing moderately complex patients and thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to stepdown/intermediate care patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient condition, recognizing and responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Perform patient assessments, documentation, and care coordination throughout the shift
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Stepdown or equivalent acute care experience preferred
• Ability to meet scheduling and weekend requirements
