Description

Travel Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech – Day Shift 4x10 – Kentucky

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a busy multi-campus health system in Kentucky. This role offers a consistent day schedule with call rotation and exposure to a wide range of advanced IR and neuro procedures.

Shift & Schedule

Day Shift: 4 × 10-hour shifts
Hours: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM
Day off: To be determined
Call Requirements:
- 1 call day per week every other week
- Plus 3 additional call days within a 60-day period
  - (2 weekdays + 1 weekend day; tech may sign up)
- Weekend call: Every 7–8 weeks
  - Friday 5:00 PM → Monday 7:00 AM
  - Cases added as needed

Local & Travel Details

Locals accepted at $7 less than posted bill rate
Travel candidates highly preferred
First-time travelers are welcome

Floating Requirement

Potential to float between:
- Florence
- Edgewood
- Fort Thomas
Floating is infrequent and based on staffing needs, PTO, illness, or case volume

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent IR Tech experience
ARRT required
BLS required
KY License / KBMIRT
- May be pending at submission
EPIC charting experience REQUIRED

Required Procedure Experience

Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

Angiograms & Venograms
PICC lines
Port-a-cath
Vertebroplasty
GI bleed interventions
Embolization
Biliary tube exchange
Nephrostomy
IVUS
Fistulagram
Transjugular biopsy
IVC filter removal
Neuro thrombectomy experience required

Equipment Experience (Preferred)

EKOS
Inari
Penumbra
Jeti
COVID Medical
