Behavioral Health Nurse Manager – Yuma, Arizona

Full-time permanent position | Day shift

We’re hiring a Behavioral Health Nurse Manager (RN) to lead an inpatient psychiatric unit at a Level II Trauma hospital in Yuma, AZ. This is a permanent, benefits-eligible leadership role offering competitive salary, stable day-shift scheduling, and the opportunity to guide and develop a strong behavioral health nursing team.

Behavioral Health Nurse Manager (RN)

Provide clinical and operational leadership for an inpatient behavioral health unit, including:

• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow
• Lead, coach, and develop RNs and support staff; manage onboarding and competencies
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, state regulations, and accreditation requirements
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support quality patient care
• Monitor quality outcomes, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
• Maintain medication safety, infection control, and documentation standards
• Support staff education, evaluations, and performance management

Compensation & Schedule

Annual Salary (DOE):
$90,758 (min) – $117,986 (mid) – $145,214 (max)

• Day shift, 8-hour shifts (40 hrs/week)
• Acute inpatient behavioral health unit
• Level II Trauma Center
• EPIC EMR

Unit Details

• Voluntary adult behavioral health population
• Mental illness focus; no aggressive behavior
• RN ratio: 1:8 | Tech ratio: 1:6
• Navy blue scrubs
• Medication systems: Omnicell and automated pharmacy systems

Required

• Active Arizona RN license
• BLS (AHA) and CPI certification
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred)
• 3+ years of related nursing experience
• Previous Nurse Manager experience required
• 2+ years of hospital-based inpatient Behavioral Health/Psych experience
• EPIC EMR experience
