Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Wilson, North Carolina

Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: 12 hours (every other or every third weekend)

• Unit Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios:

  • ICU: 2:1
  • IMU: 3:1
  • Telemetry: 1:5

Required Qualifications

• Licenses: Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH Certification
• Education: Associate degree required; BSN preferred
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in ICU/IMU specialty (highest required)
• Skills:

  • EKG interpretation
  • Critical thinking
  • Knowledge of critical drips (vasopressors, sedation) and titration

Additional Information

• Equipment Used: Cardiac monitor, Hill-Rom Progressive Care beds with scale, Abbott Glucometer, EndoTool, Bair Hugger, TR band, Hotline 3 fluid warmer, Baxter IV pumps, bedside dialysis capability
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech EMR
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: COPD, Acute Respiratory Failure (ARF), Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), Sepsis, Shock
• Dress Code: Scrub color not assigned; artificial nails not allowed
