Core Job Requirements to Confirm with Candidate

Schedule & Work Expectations

Ability to work 8-hour shifts rotating between:
- 0630–1500
- 0900–1730
- 1100–1930
40 hours per week
Weekend coverage and call are voluntary
Willingness to rotate shifts as staffing requires

Education

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program (required)
BSN preferred, but not mandatory

Licensure & Certifications

Active RN license in Pennsylvania
BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) – current
ACLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) – current
xperience
Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required
- Circulating and/or scrub experience
Clinical Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of perioperative nursing and AORN standards
Ability to:
- Maintain sterile field
- Prepare and manage equipment and supplies
- Recognize and respond to physiological changes during surgery
- Safely manage specimens, cultures, and foreign bodies
Comfortable caring for pediatric through geriatric patients

Accountability & Professional Development

Accepts responsibility for:
- Maintaining competency
- Staying current with new technology, trends, and ethics
Willingness to follow Mount Nittany policies and procedures
