Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down / PCU Tele
Location: Lubbock, TX
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care | Level II Trauma Center
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to step-down/telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias
- Safely titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips (HARD REQUIREMENT)
- Manage patients requiring insulin drips, PCA, heparin protocols
- Perform IV therapy, central line and PICC care
- Care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, and renal conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including dialysis, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Document care using EPIC charting system
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of Step Down / PCU / IMC experience
- Must have experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips (required)
- BLS required
- ACLS & NIHSS preferred
EPIC charting experience required
