Med‑Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

Glens Falls, NY Day Shift | 12 Hours | 13 Weeks

Position Overview

A Med‑Surg/Telemetry RN is needed for a 13‑week assignment caring for adult and geriatric cardiac/telemetry patients. This is a remote‑tele unit requiring strong rhythm‑interpretation skills and the ability to document cardiac rhythms twice per shift. Reliability and strong clinical performance are essential.

Patient Population: Adult–Geriatric
RN Ratio: 4:1
Remote Tele Unit
Dress Code: Any solid‑color scrubs (no designs, cartoons, or hoodies)

Schedule & Shift Requirements

Start Date: 2/26/2026
Shift: 12‑hour days
Hours: 36 hours/week (24 GWW)
Weekends: Every other weekend
On‑Call: None
Block Scheduling: Not permitted
RTO: Max 5 days, must be submitted with profile
Cancellation Policy: Up to 5 shifts per 13‑week contract (2‑hour notice required)

Required Experience & Skills

3+ years recent Med‑Surg/Tele experience
EPIC experience – REQUIRED
Strong proficiency in:
- Cardiac/telemetry nursing
- Rhythm interpretation, measurement, and documentation 2× per shift
Neuro/stroke experience – Highly preferred
Previous travel experience – Highly preferred
Must be reliable with no attendance concerns
Must have own vehicle

Required Certifications & Licensure

Active NY RN License (facility will not pend)
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License
- Must be uploaded with submission

Compliance Requirements

14‑panel drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of offer
Welle or CPI de‑escalation training required for onboarding
COVID vaccination encouraged but not required
Permanent address must match state ID and be included in profile
Travelers must have their own vehicle

Work history
Skills checklist (within 1 year)
1 supervisory reference (within last 2 years)
All licenses/certs uploaded

Location Restrictions

Travelers with permanent addresses in the following NY counties cannot be considered: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington
