Job Opportunity: Lab Tech - Lab (Travel)
Location: Danville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility Overview
- 250-bed Academic Community Hospital
- Region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Accredited by American College of Cardiology and American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
- Services include surgical, 24-hour ED, home health & hospice, wound healing, cardiac rehab, cath labs, one day surgery, medical and radiation oncology
Position Details
- Specialty: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Shift: Days (7 AM - 7 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call Requirements: As needed
- Number of Openings: 1
- Patient Population: All ages
- Float Requirements: As needed
Requirements
- Certifications:
- ASCP or AMT required prior to start
- BLS required
- Education:
- AAS in Medical Laboratory Technology or BS in Clinical Laboratory Science
- Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years in specialty (Lab Tech/MLT)
- Skills:
- Experience with Meditech, Siemens Vista, Abbott Architect, Siemens CS 2500 COAG equipment
- Personality Fit:
- Ability to multitask with a positive attitude
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel
- Random drug screening and criminal background consent required
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color or pattern allowed; no casual or offensive attire

- Approximately 45 miles north of Greensboro, NC
