Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation under the direction of a doctor. The Respiratory Therapist treats conditions that affect the pulmonary system and help patients who are having trouble breathing from infants to the elderly in a variety of health care settings.

Minimum Requirements:

Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registration for the state in which he/she practices
One year of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age Compliance & Ethics Expectation

Specific Skills/Qualifications Needed: CA RCP, PALS, ACLS, NRP, BLS - Required Candidates must be RRTs, no CRTs accepted. Experience: High acuity pediatric hospital (within last 3 years) - Required seeking respiratory therapists with extensive experience in pediatrics (level 1 PICU, level 4 NICU, or pediatric CVICU). This is non-negotiable. Hours/Week: 36 hours/wk Shift: Nights (12hr shifts) Length of Contract: 13 weeks Possibility of Extension: High Interview Process: Virtual interview with on site manager.
